Chiba City ： Beware of suspicious caller claiming to be your son ！.

We are currently receiving suspicious phone calls in Wakaba-ku from a person claiming to be our son.
The caller reported yesterday
"I will bring strawberries tomorrow."
and today
"I forgot my cell phone."
etc. After this, the perpetrator may call you in the name of a public institution, such as a train station or the police, and try to swindle you out of your money.
If the caller mentions
"money, cash card, PIN"
this is a scam.
To avoid becoming a victim of a scam, it is effective to take measures to protect your telephone equipment.
Implement phone countermeasures, such as setting your landline phone to an answering machine setting.
