We are currently receiving suspicious phone calls in Wakaba-ku from a person claiming to be our son.

The caller states
"I have a cold. Can't recognize my voice."
etc.
After this, the offender may visit your home under the guise of medical treatment fees, etc., and trick you out of your money by tricking you into thinking that you are related to the offender.

If the caller mentions 'money, cash card, PIN', it is a scam.
To avoid becoming a victim of a scam, it is effective to take measures to protect your telephone equipment.
Implement telephone countermeasures, such as setting your landline phone to an answering machine setting.
